Black Friday indeed Tony, and this morning it looks like she's going to try serve up those herrings for a fourth time... I mean, come on, seriously?
This is starting to hurt people, certainly here in Spain the expats are worried about impact on private pensions, medical provision, driving licences etc, resolution (or revolution),is needed and fast.
I find myself quite down at the end of this week, what with the boll***s above, the death of Rankin Roger and the funeral of the inimitable Keith Flint of the Prodigy, hard to think about model soldiers :(
It is a gloomy time - I've decided to stop following events, since they seem to be able to cock things up without my wasting my own time by paying attention. I've also decided to stop listening to Liverpool FC's games for a while, since they seem to play better when I don't (how do they know?).
I did have a think about stockpiling croissants, but decided against it.
A picture of total darkness?
ReplyDeleteTo save energy, and because of a complete lack of public interest, the light at the end of the tunnel has now been turned off.
DeleteWhere's Oliver Cromwell when you need him !?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Guy Fawkes?
DeleteIn my experience the light at the end of the tunnel has always turned out to be an angry 600lb silver back gorilla with a flashlight.
ReplyDeleteThis book you aren't writing gets better by the minute.
DeletePut me down for a copy. Sounds more illuminating that most these days.
DeleteThis must be a post about BREXIT?
ReplyDeleteHeaven forbid, Ray - I've promised the Contesse I'll never mention the topic again.
DeleteNight attack -3 dice.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! We'll need a flashlight to see the dice - where did that gorilla go?
DeleteI remember this from The Beano / The Dandy etc - it's a black cat in a coal mine. Possibly eating the thrice-rejected herring?
ReplyDeleteAha - so that's where it went. Thanks for this.

That's the best sounding "one of these" I've heard for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, it is unusually "however you describe this", isn't it?
