It's a wildflower, so I guess it's a perennial, but Wikipedia tells me it has a short life in a garden. Not sure about that - my wife has a friend who grew an edelweiss in her garden (in Scotland) for many years until her gardener mistook it for a weed and removed it.<br /><br />Well done with the palm tree, by the way.
